Alicia is an anthropologist and heritage archaeologist who first joined the Illinois State Archaeological Survey in 2024. She has since done fieldwork across southern Illinois and serves on the Illinois State Archaeological Survey’s Outreach Committee. Her technical interests and expertise are in ceramic analysis, field survey, GIS, mapping, bioarchaeology, funerary archaeology, NAGPRA compliance, and has previously worked in collections furthering repatriation efforts. Her research interests include understanding the effects of dark tourism on heritage and memory globally, both past and present.
