Business Manager I at the Illinois River Biological Station, located on the Illinois River at Havana, Illinois. I manage the business portion of the day-to-day field station activities including fiscal management of the grants and contracts, budgeting, purchasing and payables and join in field work activities whenever possible.

The Illinois River Biological Station and its staff and data support multimillion dollar resource decisions made by the USACE, The Nature Conservancy and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Information and data is collected through the monitoring of fish populations and water quality in the Illinois River, Mississippi River and the Emiquon Preserve through various gears including nets and electrofishing. IRBS is also a research partner with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources on specialized research projects focused on the invasive species, including Asian carp population and its effects on fish populations and zooplankton.

2005 State Master Gardener Award—presented to the Mason County Master Gardeners for Teamwork in 4-H and Junior Show Fairgrounds project.
