Working for the Critical Trends Assessment Program, I monitor birds in forests, wetlands, and grasslands throughout Illinois. I also coordinate two state wide bird monitoring programs Spring Bird Count and Monitoring of Owls and Nightjars in Illinois. In addition to coordinating bird monitoring programs, I spend time managing databases, writing reports, making maps using GIS, and educating the public.
