Research Interests

I am interested in understanding how faults and other geologic structures affect groundwater movement and groundwater quality, particularly in the deep sandstone aquifers in northern Illinois. More broadly, I am interested in the integration of 3D geologic models and geophysical datasets (seismic surveys, airborne electromagnetic surveys) into groundwater flow models, assessing surface water/groundwater interactions, conducting water supply planning initiatives, and visualization of groundwater data and modeling results in online GIS web applications.

Current Projects

Development of the Illinois Groundwater Monitoring Network Data Portal for real-time monitoring of groundwater water levels across Illinois.
