Current Projects

As the Natural Areas Coordinator for the Committee on Natural Areas, I manage, maintain, and protect as well as coordinate access to about 1000 acres of lands and waters at 12 sites that are part of the University of Illinois's natural areas. These mostly forested properties in parts of Champaign, Vermilion, and McLean counties are available to the University community for teaching and research.

Research Interests

I am interested in the application of ecological restoration techniques to degraded plant communities especially tallgrass prairie in Illinois.
