Biography

I work for the Illinois Natural History Survey as an Assistant Scientist, Large River Fisheries Ecologist. I currently monitor invasive carp and native fish populations below the electric dispersal barrier in the upper reaches of the Illinois Waterway by using hoop nets, mini-fyke nets, fyke nets, and DC electrofishing as part of the Multiple Agency Monitoring of the Illinois River for Decision Making project. I previously worked alongside the Illinois DNR Invasive Carp Team in an effort to remove and monitor invasive carp populations in the upper reaches of Illinois River.
